Celebrating Our 2nd Anniversary

In just over a day, my wife Lenka and I will celebrate our two-year wedding anniversary, a milestone that fills our hearts with gratitude and love. However, this year's celebration has taken an unexpected turn due to the flu, an event that has kept me at home, away from our almost 11-month-old son, Steven. Yet, amidst the unexpected challenges, we've been granted a beautiful gift: witnessing Steven's newfound milestones of sitting by himself and crawling on his tiny feet and arms.

Life has a way of surprising us, reminding us of the value of resilience and adaptability in the face of unexpected events. The flu may have reshaped our plans, but it has also allowed us to witness the remarkable growth and development of our son, Steven.

Not being able to be with Steven during this time is an experience that fills us with longing, but it also fills us with pride and joy as we watch him conquer new milestones. His ability to sit independently and crawl with those little feet and arms is a testament to his determination and spirit. These moments, however small they may seem, hold immeasurable significance in our hearts.

As parents, we dream of the joy that comes with bedtime stories, laughter, and watching our children explore the world. We imagine guiding them through their first steps and comforting them when they need us. While the flu may have altered our plans, it has also given us the opportunity to cherish every moment, celebrate Steven's achievements, and appreciate the love and support that surrounds us from our friends and family.

In this experience, we've come to realize that life is not just about grand plans but also about the unexpected blessings and the strength we find within ourselves and our loved ones. It's about appreciating the everyday moments we sometimes overlook. It's about celebrating love, not just on anniversaries but every day we have the privilege of being together as a family.

As we approach our second wedding anniversary, Lenka, I want to take a moment to express my love and gratitude to you. These two years of marriage have been filled with love, laughter, work around the house, and unwavering support. You are my rock, and the love you bring to our family is a constant source of strength and joy. I can't wait to celebrate not just the love we have for our son, Steven, but also the love we share in our marriage. Our love story continues, even in the midst of change and separation, and I look forward to the many beautiful moments we'll create together as a family.

Happy Anniversary, my love ♥

Marek
